The Gathering Circle recollects a primary way that men have gathered for thousands of years. From ancient hunter-gatherers to European legends of the Knights of the Round Table, gathered in a circle (often around a fire) men have met together to tell their own stories and support one another, recite and learn the history of the tribe, entertain one another, and make decisions. Today we use this principle of gathering in a circle – in a community of equals – to tell our stories, engage our faith in a variety of ways, hold ourselves and each other accountable for our words and actions, and support one another in our own soul work. The Gathering Circle is based on the Way of Council developed by The Ojai Foundation and used by a number of ogranizations around the world, including Illuman. Facilitation of the Gathering Circle provides both a form and content for the group. Participants decide together what kind of content they want: a book study, a special theme, or just whatever is going on in our lives.
Scott is available to speak to your church or group (religious or secular) about any number of aspects of the work he is doing. Some Sunday mornings are kept open for visiting congregations for this purpose.

There are various, overlapping descriptions of spiritual direction. Broadly speaking, spiritual direction is the process of accompanying a person on his or her spiritual journey. Spiritual direction exists in a context that emphasizes growing closer to God (or the Sacred, the Holy or a higher power).

At Manifest we know the value of men getting away together -- preferably in nature -- for longer than just a couple of hours. Men's weekend retreats combine time in nature with time in conversation with one another and time alone for reflection, prayer and rest. The next men's weekend is scheduled for April 15-17, 2016 at The Lodge at Twin Creeks in Abbotsford, BC. Register here. Space is limited.
Manifest provides programmes and services that support men who want to participate in their own spiritual journeys and healing.
