I have belonged to a few men's groups over the years and Scott’s is by far the most organized and meaningful. I was fortunate to attend a men's weekend last summer that was hosted by Scott. I can't say enough about the bonding, the alone time, the spiritual enlightenment, the hike to Tea Pot Hill and of course the drumming circle.
Our members have developed a bond and comfort zone within the group that for most of us is very unique. Scott uses a number of techniques to get these results and he is constantly striving to better himself, which in turn betters the group. I would highly recommend any opportunity to spend time with Scott.

There is a great need and opportunity in our society for men’s ministry. I have been fortunate to have participated in several initiatives led by Scott. These experiences had significant value for me at the time, and each one has had lasting benefits. It is very important to have ongoing opportunities to be involved in the spiritual nurturing and growth that Scott’s ministry can provide. It is my hope that Scott’s ministry will be supported and strengthened by those who have the means to do so.

When men honestly talk about the tough truths in life: 'we are all going to die', 'we are not that important', 'we are not in control of our destiny' ... something special happens. The shared experience of conversation provides an opportunity for a mature masculine spirituality to emerge. Thanks to Scott I have experienced the power of connections and support between men. I always felt more refreshed and alive after an evening gathering than if I had struggled with these questions alone.
Scott is an excellent teacher, counsellor, and spiritual guide. I appreciate the subtle, powerful gift he has for using silence to make space for the discernment of the Holy Spirit in our midst. Thanks to Scott I have learned that deepening my spirituality is not about being sensitive or guilt-ridden. It is about seeking the same kind of relationship with God that transformed Moses, Paul, and Martin Luther King Jr.

When a leader is able to build trust and a safe environment, men will share their deeply held beliefs, fears, joys, hopes and the experiences that have shaped them, both positively and negatively. Scott is not only able to build that trusting environment, he also brings a set of tools and skills that result in rich conversation, critical thought and the opening of hearts, souls and minds to the struggles, gifts and support of others. I appreciate Scott's focus and dedication to continued learning and making this experience that is so valuable and rare, more accessible to more men.

I have found Scott’s ministry with men to be a very fulfilling and rewarding experience. Whether it be guided theme-based discussion, or an open discussion based on a book read by the group, Scott manages to create the space in which men are free to share thoughts, experiences, ideas and emotions. It has been a unique opportunity to be in a comfortable environment and able to share openly with other men on issues we rarely address with others and often not even with ourselves. It can be challenging, awakening and grounding at the same time. Most importantly, this fosters a strong sense of trust and support with and among the other men in the group and, as a result, a sense of bonding in the spirit develops.

The fellowship experienced in our Men’s group, led by Scott, has proven both unique and fulfilling for me on a personal level. Scott possesses gifts and knowledge that together foster meaningful connections amongst Men. Our discussions run deep, as does the awareness and the further questions that emerge. Consequently I feel that our sessions nourish my spirit, as well as invigorate my mind. Scott is an outstanding leader, able to achieve that balance where each has a voice and democracy thrives; while simultaneously ensuring that the group’s focus is maintained. I am most thankful for Scott’s ministry and his willingness to share of himself.

One of the initiatives that came out of our group sharing was that I booked an airplane ticket to go and visit my son.

From a men’s weekend retreat:
I really appreciated how (Scott) created and maintained the vessel for the weekend. That he was listening and speaking from the heart was consistently palpable. I am tremendously grateful that someone is leading this work.

I appreciated being able to talk with other men at an emotional level beyond the superficial. I gained valuable spiritual insights on current matters in my life and my eyes and heart were opened to new areas of contemplation. Phenomenal value for the price!
